WORK ASSIGNMENTS

Hörby Culture School is looking for a new colleague. Here, you will be part of a work team together with competent culture pedagogues within theatre, visual arts, film, dance, and music. As a team, we work for a culture school for all children and young people in Hörby, which means we work extensively with open activities in various forms. We often work in cross-artistic projects, so you need to be open to collaborations between different subjects.

The largest part of your position is part of a development project funded by the Swedish Arts Council, where the focus is on reaching the goal of becoming a culture school for all children. The goal is to create an activity where children and young people in need of adjustments and special support can feel safe to participate based on their own prerequisites. You will be responsible for driving and developing the Culture School's holiday activities and open activities, with a particular focus on children and young people in adapted schools. In this role, you may have a background as a culture pedagogue with varying focus, such as rhythmics, dance, or drama pedagogy. You are part of a team with two other pedagogues who lead Klanglabb and Musik & Such adapted group activities, which are part of the Culture School's regular offering.

The second part of the position involves continuous theatre education for different age groups. This means that you prepare, plan, conduct, and evaluate the education in a professional manner based on evidence-based knowledge and current research. The Culture School already has a theatre teacher, but as we expand the activity with, among other things, an adult/family group, reinforcement is needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are educated as a theatre teacher/drama pedagogue with a university education or education that the employer deems equivalent. You need to have experience working with adapted activities.

It is meritorious if you have experience working with children and young people within the culture school. It is also meritorious if you have broader knowledge in adjacent cultural areas, for example, rhythmics. You need to be confident in teaching both younger children and more advanced students.

It is desirable that you have a driver's license as some education is located at rural schools.

As a person, you should be creative and driven. You need to be able to take responsibility, be communicative, and collaborate with many actors.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.

SCOPE OF EMPLOYMENT

Employment type: Fixed-term / Part-time 60%.
Working hours: Daytime/evening. The majority of the position is scheduled outside school hours. Working hours during school holidays are an important part of the position. Roster.
